The reason I'm asking this is because she died when I was 15 in 1968, she used to talk about seeing a bus down a bomb crater or something also a lot of other things about Bahlam, a lot of things I can't remember because I was young. I don't know which road she lived on but by the look of the only photo I've got they were a very poor family. Is there anyone out there who could please help?? I have an electoral roll for 1957 and the name Allen does not appear on it. With regard to the bus falling down a hole this occured in 1941 when a large bomb dropped on Balham High Road and caused a massive creater which an 88 bus went di=own. Fortunately there was only a relief crew on board no passenger.
