lived there for 8 years, never had any trouble, Northfields is nicer, West Ealing high street a bit grim, but all surrounding roads very pleasent. Very nice parks too, Lammas and Walpole parks. The Plough down past Northfields tube is very nice as well.

This Bar is featured in all the london bar guides, and is very highly rated in the cocktail/bartending world. Its cocktails are a treat for the tastebuds...everyone in Ealing should try something from its menu at least once in their life. If A-list celebs drank in Ealing they would do it here!

I had been a regular visitor to Baroque, putting up with West-end prices and shabby toilets because the music was so good. I was really looking forward to the Christmas do, but turned up to find the regular dj had been dropped in favour of somebody who was playing off a laptop. I say playing, becasue he certainly wasn't mixing. I asked if this was a new resident and heard that it was - well this is a big thumbs-down - seems like Baroque's intent on coming down to the standard of all the other bars in the area.

(The food's great though!)

I went to Bangkok Broadway, 157 Uxbridge Rd, West Ealing, London, W13 9AU, for a friend’s 50th birthday with a group of 11. The restaurant had been booked prior to our arrival.

There was only one waitress for the entire restaurant and service was horrendously slow from the very start.
Making any order was difficult.
We waited for 90 minutes for our starters and the meals all arrived at different times.
There was a strong smell of sewage in the restaurant and towards the end of the evening; several people in the group could smell gas.

We would certainly not recommend this restaurant, nor will we ever be going back. The service was awful and the food terrible – even with the 30% discount the waitress gave, we should not have been asked for payment at all. They should have paid us to eat there!

We left the restaurant extremely disappointed and still hungry.

West Ealing re the amount of council tax you pay in West Ealing  

We pay £90 pm for a two double bedroom maisonette, between three of us that's £30pm which isn't two bad as the facilities here in W.E. are better than in other places I've lived which have cost the same amount

West Ealing There are two - Waitrose and Sainsburys.  

I'm confused about that dating message. Does that mean whichever supermarket I mention first gets an unofficial singles night? Great idea, though. Anyway, there's a decent Waitrose right next to West Ealing station and there's also a large-ish Sainsburys on Uxbridge Road, near the Blockbuster and opposite the library.
