For reasons of research, I need to know the address, a posh semi-detached house on the Lakes Estate, where the famous early 1970's boy singer and recording artiste DARREN BURN (1961-1991) lived with his family in 1973. Darren's father Colin Burn was, at that time, an executive at EMI. I have contacted the Southgate Green Association, sending them a photo of the house and the road taken from the July, 1973, BBC2 "Man Alive" documentary film "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star", a programme that covered the launch of Darren as a pop star. The best they could do was to tell me that the house (no member of the Burn family lives there anymore) is definitely on the Lakes Estate. If you can help, my email address is Mail-me . Many Thanks.  | ^ Southgate 1973 Southgate address now located!This address (the former home of the late Darren Burn) has now, after a lot of detective work by myself and others, been found. It was 17, Queen Elizabeth's Drive, Southgate, a house that backs onto Grovelands Park. The house is still there. Photographs were taken of it on Wednesday, July 16th, 2008 and it doesn't look very much different to how it looked in July, 1973. Lately I had realised that I am 5 weeks pregnant. As we have not been registered with local GPs, I have been rejected by the GPs in the area from seeking a medical consultation. Why is it not possible to see any doctor without any registration? What is the best way to see a doctor asap as we are ready to pay any consulation fees even if it is required to? ( Any private clinics or private gynaecologist will do) We are resorting to the internet as none of the local GPs that we've called is giving further advise on our situation. Post reply -->London Southgate 27 Jun ^ Southgate Bars and SouthgateI've just moved to Southgate. It isn't really a place for happening bars - the Maze Inn near Oakwood tube is worth a look though. But the centre of London is only a 25 min tube ride and there are regular bus services to places where bars are more numerous, such as Muswell Hill. Southgate has a lot to offer - not least great transport links and lots of parks and green spaces. Its well connected with buses to Muswell Hill, Finsbury Park, Archway and Totenham Hale. Hornsey Train Sation is a 15 minute walk away or 5 minute bus ride away that will have trains going to Welwyn but also Morrgate/Kings X.
