South Norwood Moving to South Norwood 2011Hi. I'm in early 30s looking to buy a flat and having been looking at crystal palace area but it's too expensive (and not keen on the one way traffic). I've lived for the last 5 yrs in Colliers Wood /Tooting and have been happy and felt relatively safe in these areas. South Norwood looks cheap in comparison and I'm wondering what it's like in 2011.. I visited once during the day on a week day and it seemed fine and quite friendly and quiet. Not sure why it's so cheap? Is it relatively ok at night? Is the area getting better/worse? South Norwood South Norwood...I tend to go out in Crystal Palace or Norwood Junction...but a few pubs to go to include Ivory Coast, Joiners Arms and the Albert.....Other pubs Albion and Jolly Sailor have new owners and trying to up their game. The Indian at the begginning of Portland Road is really good....and very popular. The Thai Restuarant on Portland Road is good too. The bus to Crystal Palce runs every seven minutes and takes ten minutes....And there's lovely restaurants also in South Croydon. South Norwood What are people moaning about Part 2South Norwood has good transport links and you can get into the main part of croydon very quickly. Correction, is there was any spelling mistakes, who cares what people read in any papers. London is a major international city and has the same people as any where else in the world. No place any one is trapped, maybe for the residents who say its gone down over maybe you should have been planning to find a place where your happy. An old workmate lived near the stadium and he said wasn't a problem as fans well behaved. Might be a problem getting a parking space during the match. Traffic is busy for an hour before and after a game but only every other weekend and not all year as football is seasonal.
