Raynes Park

Vanessa - there are club nights at King's club (which uses the King's boys' school facilities) and Wimbledon Racquets & Fitness clubs on Monday and Saturday respectively. You don't have to be a member to go along. Wimbledon also has beginners and improvers sessions open to members and non-members.

Hope this helps.

Raynes Park AUSSIE ALERT

Are there many Aussie's living in Raynes Park. My husband and I are recently married and we have recently moved back to the area. We are English, but think that the aussie's are a great laugh and my husband loves Aussie Rules Football! Are there many of you around?????????????????

Raynes Park Re: Aussie Alert

The Wimbledon Hawks Australian Rules Football Club have their base in Motspur Park and are currently in the early part of the season. The club has a strong English contingent, as half the first team needs to be from the EU. As we are always on the look out for new English players, perhaps you fancy learning the game and having a kick? If not, you will be welcome just to come and support and enjoy the social side of the game. Check out www.wimbledonhawks.com. Training is on Tues & Thurs from 7.00pm at KCS Old Boys Rugby Club, Arthur Rd, Motspur Park.

Raynes Park Street Permits

If you don't want street Permits in the area, DO NOT put your bins or witches hats out instead! Parking is difficult, but made even harder by people putting their bins and cones out. Just pay the permit and lets make our lives much easier................

Raynes Park Mums and Toddlers

The church I go to, Dundonald, runs a Mums and Toddlers group which is really popular and well-used by local mums and there is a mixture of church and non-church mums. Phone the church office for more info on 8545 2734.

Raynes Park BUTCHERS

I do believe the best butchers is 'Hartson'. It is next to the pine shop. It is a nice family owned place and i have always had a nice meal from the meat they provide.
Happy Cooking

Raynes Park Getting to Raynes Park

Raynes Park isn't on the tube; but there are 10 trains an hour from Waterloo main line Station, journey time is just under 20 minutes. Alternatively you can pick these trains up at Vauxhall (Victoria Line) or Wimbledon (one stop away - District Line). Raynes Park is in Travelcard zone 4. No idea how long it takes by road as I probably wouldn't bother.

Raynes Park Driving to Raynes Park

Hi, if you want to drive, I can tell you it takes 40-50 minutes to go from Raynes Park to The Strand by scooter, but that is taking shortcuts, and with the ability to get though the traffic.

I would say if you want to drive into the city you are looking at 1.5 to 2 hours at rush hour, because of the heavy traffic, and there are so many junctions with traffic lights with long queues.

Catch a train, there are 12 per hour, and it takes 20 minutes.

Raynes Park

Raynes Park isn't the best place for a full-on night out on the town - but then it doesn't need to be as it's so near to wimbledon and wimbledon village and easy to get back to from london center. The Cavern (near the West barnes lane/coombe lane traffic lights) is a good place for pre-beers or if you're not out on a big one.
