Both my parents are born and bread Pimilico, it was also home to both my grandmothers, who arrived in London from Ireland during the second world war, so many happy memories of this place.

Pimlico Do you have a flat to sell?

Hi. I'm looking for a flat in Pimlico up to approx £300000. If you're thinking of selling, I'd love to hear from you. Selling privately (without estate agents) can make life easier and much cheaper. I need one bedroom and if it has outside space, that would be great. Thanks very much.

Pimlico Before Churchill Gdns.

Does anyone remember the name of the pub on Grosvenor Road where the no. 24 bus used to stop for a scheduled break, it was outside a pub. This would have been in the late forties about the time or just before the building of Churchill Gdns.

Pimlico Classic Car Rentals, Pimlico - 1970s

Hi - I hope this is the place! I've gone to various websites and companies and have a partial answer. When I was very small, in the late 1970s, I remember a car overhanging the top of a building on the east of the tracks a couple of minutes (by train) out of Waterloo Station in a spot that would have been impossible to get a vehicle without a crane. It's since been established this was Classic Car Rentals, and the building is where Pimlico Plumbers have been since 2005. Has anyone got photos of the car (or cars - I seem to remember it got changed and eventually ruined by graffiti), dates or any information at all? It's proven surprisingly difficult and I've never forgotten it.

Pimlico Whats Pimlico Academy Like?

My friend is a fantastic teacher and is thinking about applying for a job at Pimlico academy - she wants to know what it's like. I've only just moved to the area, but the kids seem pretty well behaved to me so far! Do any locals have an opinion on the school?

Pimlico Glamorgan Street

My grandmother lived at no 2 Glamorgan Street, bottom half of the house. The top half of the house was a family called the Terrys had two boys Terry and Peter and later i think two daughters. In the next door house the top half of the house was a Mrs Dolly Hedley my nan's friend and across from my nan's house was the Rocky's or we always knew the dad as Mr Rocky. It was demolished in around 1960/1 and was opposite cornerwise to Sutherland Street and Lupus Street.

Hi

My name is Michael Guihen, m mum was Maureen Ward who lived in Glamorgan st , her Mother was Mary Elizabeth Ward and father Ruben Wardwho moved to 53 lupus street when Glamorgan st was pulled down where they ran a boarding house. I was born in 1961 so have no memories of that time, she had 5 sisters, Kit, Eileen, Llily, Shelia, Pauline and one brother Paddy Hope that puts a small window to those long lost days.

Pimlico Who is Chris?

Does anyone know what happened last night (Sat - 9th May 2009)? yelling, screaming, slamming of doors!

Also Churchill Gardens is a great place to live in. i've been here just under 2 years, and have had no hassle from the young 'uns. All the longterm residents: young and old i have met are warm and welcoming, and have brilliant stories to share.

Pimlico Marven Medical Practice

Pimlico MOVE OR NOT TO MOVE?... PIMLICO

Hey all

I know this topic has been around here for a couple of times now, but I would still like to know what you think...

Me and my boyfriend are looking to move to Pimlico (we are currently living in Harrow) and the house we have found is very close to the Churchill Gardens Road (on Sussex Str.). I have read postings in various forums and it seems that this area is quite rough. Most people suggest to avoid it.

We find Harrow very safe, but too far from Central London. So the opportunity to move to Pimlico seemed very attractive.

However, we are very much concerned with those teenage gangs hanging around and also with that Churchill Gardens estate nearby.

Please give me a very honest feedback as soon as possible. I will appreciate that very much. Thanks.

Pimlico

Hello,
I am a young professional and I have lived in Churchill Gardens for over two years. It's a really convenient place to live and I feel very safe. I have never had any problems and my neighbours are really nice.
As a young female safety was a real priority for me when deciding where to live. I used to live in Streatham. I feel safe walking home in the evenings but the good thing about the location is there is a 24 hr bus and a taxi never costs more than £10 if you've had a night out.
I think where ever you live will have some problems....no where is exempt from crime but I have not experienced any problems living here.
I hope this helps!

Pimlico Marven Medical Practice

The Marven Medical Practice in Lupus Street is a thoroughly professional, patient friendly practice. I would recommend them to anyone moving to Pimlico. The same day appointments are a definite plus, as is their professionalism. I had a problem having not been to the doctor for years and was seen almost immediately and they had all the notes on screen with my complete history. I cannot praise this practice enough

Pimlico Doctor / GP in Pimlico

The best NHS GP Practice in Pimlico by far - they have male and female doctors, are flexible in their hours and really go the extra mile. I work during the day and find it is easy to attend their surgery before or after work
