Yes we had a great window cleaner. He was called "Long Jack' . Hw as about 70 and he carried his ladder on a bike. But that was back in the early 1960s and he's probably dead now. Alan

Palmers Green Womens social group  

I am 31 year old straight, married female, with a partner who loves football more than me, so I'm looking to make new friends in my local area, in Southgate, North London. I have set up a woman's only group, consisting of 6 women, 25- 45 who meet up and just hang out. We go out for meals, pubbing, clubbing, shopping, or just mingling around together in coffee houses. Palmers Green Exploiting servants are we??  

Following the comments made by anon on 19th March in response to what Martin wrote on 11 Aug (see further down), OK so you both dislike Palmers Green and felt you had to leave for better climes. Surely having servants, having this lifestyle is artificial as you would not have that here.

Wherever you are, it sounds like exploitation, and it's nothing to be proud of.
