Nunhead Haywards Pickle Factory at Bird in bush road  

Hi There
I'm wondering if anyone out there worked at Haywards Pickle Factory at Bird in bush road, Peckham in 1971 / 1972.
Or if anyone knows of anyone called Antony who worked there at this time. I'm not sure of his surname but he lived in Pomeroy Street New Cross?

Nunhead Butcher Family of Nunhead  

Would anyone happen to know anything about Percy Alfred Butcher of Daniels Road, Nunhead or his brothers Stanley Albert Butcher and Frank Wortley Butcher who lived at Nunhead Green at least as late as 1929? Their mother, Maria (Lutman) Butcher was an aunt of mine.

Nunhead Kitto Road  

This is probably more Telegraph Hill than Nunhead - you are certainly Lewisham rather than Southwark and SE14 rather than SE15. Closest station is Nunhead and you are not too far from the shops described on this forum. You are also in reach of the Sainsbury's at New Cross Gate (and New Cross Gate station if you want London Bridge).

The Telegraph Hill area has its own website - thehill - and I suggest you have a browse around the forums on that to get a feel for the level of crime and comment on it.

Nunhead Nunhead Shopping  

Sainsbury's out past Peckham up Dog Kennel Hill, Sainsbury's by New Cross Gate, Tesco and Asda up the Old Kent Road. But Nunhead is great for its small shops too, there are a fishmonger, a butcher and a baker right on your doorstep (for a candlestick maker you might have to go a bit futher afield...)

Nunhead Local  

It's true - one of the best things about Nunhead is the local shops - Veg, Butchers, Fishmongers, Flowers, News, Grocery, Undertakers & now that there is a good deli 'Frog on the Green', on Consort Road, there is little need to leave the area to buy stuff (or be buried).

Nunhead Anderson, George  

My grandfather, George Anderson, lived for a long time at 81 Scylla Road, Nunhead. His second marriage to my grandmother, Maud Matilda Dersley, didn't last and he disappeared, but that was in the 1930s. He had a son George as well. I know it's a long time ago, but anyone know anything of him at all? He was a Scotsman.

Would really appreciate any info if anyone has any.
