Neasden Farm The Forge Neasden/lane (or Old ? Forge) Forge Cottage Is there still a Woolworth's on Neasden Lane? (There used to be a blacksmiths forge there many years before hand) Would be really great if anybody has any info about these places. I now find it hard to sing properly infront of myself.. have I gone mad!!?? My voice is still int here but need someone to break it back out, over come my fear of making some noice. I had/have a nice or strong voice but its now petfried to come out so i end up squueeezing it out!! What is this part of Kilburn like? I'm a realist (moving from Bethnal Green) and I know every borough in London can be mixed in terms of crime, etc, but I wanted to know about this area specifically as I've heard of a few places round South Kilburn that are pretty rough. Its definitely gone down hill a bit, to all of those who say its fine, all I can reply is you must walk along streets with your eyes closed!! Open them and you will see drug dealers every 50-100 meters, openly selling on the streets, to adults and kids, and go along the side street you will see cars with tinted windows parked, full of gangs watching houses. If would be helpful if i would be able to get some more views on this. Is kilburn a safe area ? durining the day and especially at evenings/nite/early hours of the morning. ? I frequently walk from kilburn tube station down kilburn high road by myself late at night (I am a female in my early twenties) and I've never been bothered (other than the occassional wolf whistle and sleazy hello which you get no matter where you go!) There are a lot of 'interesting' characters in kilburn but I quite like that about the area. however, if this puts you off and money isn't an issue then maybe opt for west hampstead. west hampstead is really nice and much quieter than kilburn, but lacks a bit of kilburn's personality. Kilburn is ok, some areas are dodgy like anywhere in London, some areas are pretty, some areas not so but it ain't as pretty and boring as Maida Vale, and it is diverse and cosmopolitan like any other part of London. It does have a lot of black people but they're harmless if a little loud!!!! Supprisingly so considering most people's opinion - a real undiscovered gem! Further South and West towards Kilburn High Road is less nice. However, I went out for a night out in kilburn, hung round during the day, spoke to policemen and residents and decided to rent here - certain areas are more safe than others. I would definately reccommend living in kilburn - however, area near tube is the safest - i dont have far to walk from underground ... im on cavendish rd, safe, tree-lined road - double bed to rent ere?? Kilburn can be okay, i lived there for a while and never had a problem, but a friend who lives in the South of Kilburn (near Maida Vale) has seen numerous VERY serious assaults, people smoking crack and smack in the doorway of his flats almost daily, and many other really quite unpleasant things. If I was looking for a safe place to live, I'd go to Hampstead, or Stanmore, NOT kilburn.
