Finsbury PArk is a large area and the best part is around stroud green. a mixed ethnic cultural vibe close to Crouch End and Green LAnes and close to Turnpike LAne. If you like vibrant ethnic areas this is for you. If you don't like ethnic areas give it a wideberth, don'tmove here and complain. Post reply -->London Finsbury 15 Apr ^ Finsbury Not Finsbury ParkIt seems that no-one here understands where Finsbury is, hence every post is about Finsbury Park. I vote to remove the name Finsbury (which is actually much nicer than Finsbury Park) and merge it into something else, like Clerkenwell. Post reply -->London Finsbury 21 Aug Finsbury N4 Residents Strike Back -v- Haringey Parking ServicesI used to live in the Zone B area off Green Lanes and have recently move locally to the Zone A area, which I understand is more draconian. In all my dealings with Haringey Parking Services, I have encountered nothing but delays, no response or a simplistic standard response which indicates a clear inability to address concerns or issues. Being trigger happy on issuing tickets or fines, I've had to bear a few of these because there is a point where you save your sanity against a brick wall. Other residents have expressed the same exasperation and sense of disempowerment. Jokingly, we said we ought to collate views and incidents, as perhaps there are in fact policy/service issues N4 residents would like to escalate in a constructive manner to Haringey Council to address and require Haringey Parking Services to improve upon. Any N4 Residents to Strike Back? Post reply -->London Finsbury parkingSNUFFLES 19 Oct ^ Finsbury Haringey Parking Services Issue Unfair ticketsI know people who have encountered similar problems when contacting haringey parking services after being issued with unfair parking tickets. Please contact me as I believe we can do something positive and constuctive about these tickets. Contact me at Mail-me Post reply -->London Finsbury Sally Aker 22 Nov ^ FinsburyHarringey parking services are a joke. I have on 6 different occasions informed them of my new address. I have done this by email twice and over the phone 4 times. However they still send the old outstanding ticket to my old address. It has just gone up to £120. On each contact with them I have asked to be sent a bill to my new address so that I can pay the ticket, this has never been the case. Every now and then I go and visit my old address which I have moved from over a year now to find the same PCN Notice. Are these people stupid or deaf. You are invited to created a piece of work in response to the park to be shown there for the day. You can pretty much create what you like but, it has presented by you on the day and you need to decide how you are going to display your piece so that it can survive the day and that you aren't damaging anything. I throughly recommend Lancaster Road Post reply -->London Finsbury lancaster road ^ Finsbury its not too bad...my friends have just moved there. It's a bit of a long walk from major bus routes would be my only criticism, but as an area it seems quite safe and reasonably quiet. I live in Wilberforce Road. 10 mins walk to Stoke Newington, a short Bus ride to Camden, Wood Green, Old Street, town centre etc...Perfect for my work. Find the area friendly and the culture mixed and vibrant. Pubs are ok and packed on match days and restaurants excellent (I like 'Equisite' Mexican and 'The Vine Leaf'). All the shops and takeaways you could need. Can eat Eritrean,Etheopian,Algerian, other African, Mexican, Greek, Italian, West Indian,Turkish,Kurdish etc..all within a few minutes walk. Have enjoyed living here and would recommend it. Side roads like Wilberforce are traffic controlled and can be nice and peaceful. Post reply -->London Finsbury location culture vibrant restaMark ^ Finsbury I love Finsbury Park.If I were incredibly rich, sure, I'd move to Highbury up the road. But for the value-for-money and convenience its just a fabulous area to live. Markets, fresh fish/meat/fruit & veg, cheap street stalls, supermarkets, dodgey cigarette guys, cheap cafes and good restaurants. When (if?) they open the bar just opposite the station, that'll be great. Nylon and Babushka are run by the same team apparently. The Odeon cinema on Holloway Rd. The Sobell sports centre. Yeah - I love it and I've lived here 2.5 years when previously I'd been in Vauxhall, Chelsea and Willesden Green.
