East Finchley Car-sharing scheme in East Finchley?  

Is there a car-sharing scheme in East Finchley? I've googled, and can't find anything closer than Archway.

Failing that, is there a car-hire place closer than North Finchley?

I have a car, which I seldom use, and it'd be nice to think that I could get rid of it some time.

East Finchley Looking for a plaster or carpenter  

Can anyone recommend a good plaster &/or carpenter. I need my hallway plastering and stairs building into my loft space and am looking for a reasonably priced tradesman who above all is reliable and trustworthy (not too much to ask these days is it!). Hi, the best bus from Brent Cross to Church Lane is probably the 143. This runs along East End Road and passes that end of Church Lane. There isn't a bus that passes the High Road end of Church Lane - the 102 comes from Brent Cross but the nearest stop to get off would be on the corner of Fortis Green by Dominos Pizza and then a 5/10 minute walk up to Church Lane.

East Finchley NEED SOMEONE TO RENT GORGEOUS HOUSE WITH ME...NOW!  

Hiya, I REALLY want to live in east finchley, been looking for ages for a decent place. I have actually found a place,(me and boyfriend) it is a two bed stunning cute house with fireplace, garden...nice things! I am looking for either a single person or a couple to share this two bed house with. It is around 600 squid per month(trying to get agent down) plus bills. If ANYONE out there knows of anyone who wants to move in to a decent home with two great people who are not too noisy and not boring either, then get back to me A.S.A.P

East Finchley plastic bag recycling  

Since moving away from East Finchley I went into Morrison's in Peckham, where I found a bin for recycling plastic bags.

It made me realise that I couldn't remember a similar thing anywhere near East Finchley. Does anyone know of a carrier bag recycling point?

The only thing I can think of are some of the nicer shops on the high road who like to recycle old bags rather than providing new ones. But they can't take all our plastic bags!!!

Try LA fitness on East End Rd - or there is a David Lloyd and Lido next to the Vue cinema on the main Rd to North Finchley.

Hi Flavia,

I find the Lido a nice place to swim. You need to take the 263 northwards out of East Finchley to get there. Once you cross the bridge over the large road underneath, it's in the big leisure park on the right, you can't miss it. They have a gym there too, which I haven't used.
