^ Docklands Hi Vichy!Vichitra, how are you doing? I hope you are the right one which I first met in Al Ain when we were a lot younger. What was your girlfriends name from Switzerland? What are you doing these days? Please reply to Mail-me I hope I found the right one! I missed communicating with you when I left Europe! BODO Post reply -->London Docklands 17 Jun ^ Docklands Decent barsI would say Bar 38 and The Fine Line in Canary Wharf - but I guess it depends on your tastes... Post reply -->London Docklands bar clubGraham ^ Docklands Via Fossa(West India Quay)....is a good place to go but get in there about 9ish or they will not let you in as it can get very busy....a good atmosphere is prevailent in there and not too intimidating like some crowded places are......For cheap booze and a relaxed atmosphere, the`Ledger Building`is one of the Wetherspoons chain and is a good place to go if you like Real-ale!....But as said above...its depends on your taste! Post reply -->London Docklands ^ Docklands Eating in DocklandsCarluccio's is great for Saturday and Sunday Brunch, you can sit as long as you like and read the papers and the food is good Italian. There are loads of Chinese, Indian and Thai restaurants, the Caviar Bar, all the chains like Garfunkels, All Bar One, Ken Hom has a place in Canary Wharf which does Asian Pacific food, Waitrose has a steak and oyster bar, sushi and good takeaway food, also good for breakfast. There are a huge variety from Pie and Mash to Nobu and expensive hotels and everything in between. If you want it, Docklands has it. Post reply -->London Docklands eat evening after closing time ^ Docklands Eating places in CWI'm assuming you're referring to the canary wharf area - if so, then I can certainly recommend La Tasca, a cracking Spanish place on West India Quay, near Bar38 and Via Fossa. If you like Italian, Amerigo Vespucci is an authentic Italian place, just off Cabot Square. If you like steak, Gaucho Grill on Canary Riverside is excellent. There's a great Chinese restaurant next door to it, but I forget the name. Further afield, off Manchester Rd on Amsterdam Drive is a great Indian called Mem Saheb. Hope this helps. Post reply -->London Docklands Ozzy ^ Docklands Go to Paris...Nowhere in Docklands is much cop(all overpriced and or mediocre,at best).Get a flight from London City:) Post reply -->London Docklands gringo ^ Docklands Canary WharfI have a beach where I live, a lake where a heron fishes in the morning and ducks and geese breed. I live opposite the farm where you can stable your own horse, ride, buy fresh eggs, honey and the like. Feed the llama and enjoy fresh air. Canary Wharf is vibrant, has loads of restaurants and bars, is clean and safe. Transport is excellent and the West End accessible. It is a really nice fun place to live once you get to know it. Post reply -->London Docklands livingHeather Whittle ^ Docklands Where is the stablesI am very interested in taking up horse riding again and would be intrested to know where the stables are? There is one in Wimbledon and one in Morden ( the Morden one is terrible) If you had any more luck let me know. Thanks Post reply -->London Docklands Moon ^ Docklands DocklandsIf you want to take up horse riding again you should go down to visit Docklands Equestrian Centre. 2 Claps Gate Lane London, E6 6JF And their phone number is: 020 7511 3917 You should give it a try. Post reply -->London Docklands J 14 Jan ^ DocklandsGo to the Newham riding school it’s just a bit further down the road and don’t even bother with the stansfeld rd stable it’s just all pikies & gypsies trying to gain a quick buck out of any sick, mistreated poor horse. Post reply -->London Docklands Wildhorse 12 Aug ^ Docklands Riding in DocklandsMudchute Farm on the Isle of Dogs has a good riding school, most of the farms around such as Surrey Quays have riding facilities otherwise it is Hyde Park and very expensive or you can go to Eltham or Bromley which is only 20 minutes from Docklands south of the river. Post reply -->London Docklands ^ Docklands Stables in West Beckton....There is a stables in West Beckton. Its on Stansfeld Road near to Royal Albert DLR station. One often sees the odd pony & trap go past and a couple of horses with riders on...its more for teenagers,I think, but it may be worth a try? Post reply -->London Docklands ^ Docklands Looking for cab in the Docklandstry this number 2077908700 they are very good and always early!! Post reply -->London Docklands cab taxi transport ^ Docklands Best taxis in LondonExpress Cars are the best cab company i've come across anywhere in london. They are london-wide, they quote and stick to it, all cars are in perfect nick, the drivers always wear suits, etc. And they're not pricey, maybe about 10% more than the usual mincabs, but they're not staffed by uninsured psychos! Phone: 020 7403 3333. Post reply -->London Docklands Ozzy ^ Docklands info@linkasociados.comWE ARE VISITING THE EXHIBITION CENTER NEXT WEEK BUT WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW MUCH IS A TAXI FROM LONDON TO DOCKLANDS EXHIBITION CENTER? CAN YOU REPLY TO OUR E-MAIL: Mail-me Post reply -->London Docklands carmen perales 18 Apr ^ Docklands Council TaxIf you are renting you should not be paying Council Tax however it depends on the size of property (i.e. whether it is Band A, B, C, D or E etc.) Band E is £1,300 per annum. Go on the web site for Tower Hamlets Council and you should be able to find out your council tax from that as long as you know the band you are in. However if you are renting then look for places with no bills, you will get a much better deal that way. Remember you will have to pay t.v. licence, insurance, council tax, electricity, etc etc. Go for no bills everytime and an inclusive deal! The Dentist is excellent. The Doctor is good also. Post reply -->London Docklands NHS dentist ^ Docklands SupermarketsThere is a reasonably big Asda next to Crossharbour DLR station, there is a small(ish) Tesco Metro at Canary Wharf, and also a huge new Waitrose-cum-John Lewis at Canary Wharf. The nearest big Tesco is at Surrey Quays - the nearest big Sainsbury's is at North Greenwich. Post reply -->London Docklands supermarket romance friendGraham ^ Docklands SupermarketsThere is Waitrose and Tesco in Canary Wharf, Asda and Safeways - a large Tesco in Surrey Quays, and within five minutes driving distance of the Isle of Dogs are 12 decent supermarkets. We are civilised here you know, way ahead of the game in most things - Docklands is a big place and some people put adverts in claiming to be Docklands i.e. Bethnal Green but they are not in Docklands so beware, Docklands is the Isle of Dogs, Rotherhithe, Shad Thames and Beckton. That is it!! Post reply -->London Docklands supermarket romance friend ^ Docklands There is also a 24 hour tesco just outside Elverson Rd DLR station^ DocklandsYou know docklands is becoming just a little passe. For goodness sake it was *in* in the 1980s, has boomed and is now in the decline trend wise. Go move someplace trendy and new like London Bridge, Bermondsey, Highbury, Queens Park or Belgravia.
