My Mother said that she went there as a child, and that she lived in a Barbers Shop on the corner of Albany Road/Keeysey Road about 1911. Can anyone recall it, or the name of the owner. I know so little about her life. The family story tells of him and his wife being killed in an accident with their caravan. I have looked through all the years of Lacey deaths and the only one I can find with a Patrick and a lady of about the right age registered at the same time and in the same town is in Camberwell 1934 in the last quarter. If anyone can help it would be fantastic. It's generally a pretty friendly part of Camberwell, with a mixture of families and students from the college. We still have neighbours that look out for each other! I've been here for three years and neither I nor my (female and male) housemates have had a problem. The main road is pretty busy, so from that point of view its safe for night busses. Of course, it's still London, so things may happen...
