Bow Bow is a hidden gemBow is quiet and leafy yet is a stones throw from all the fun of Brick Lane, Old Street, London Fields etc. Its 15 mins on the central line to Oxford Circus so its more central than people might realise. Its a really friendly place, some of London's remaining eastenders live here! Victoria and Mile End parks as well as the canal are on its doorstep. There are nice pubs too, as well as useful shops and a farmers market. Come and live in Bow! My prior post will seem a bit out of context- the lady asking questions about Bow probably moved here (or not) months ago! Post reply -->London Bow Vahni 16 Mar Bow I feel safe living in BowI've lived in Bow (in the Bow Quarter) for about 1 1/2 years now and haven't really ever gotten nervous about the area. It is admittedly a bit rougher than, say, Kensington or Notting Hill, at least on the surface, but that's true of most of London. I often come home quite late and am not at all worried, though I'm only 5'3 and 7 stone. That said, I lived in New York City for 7 years, and in other areas of London as well, so I'm very urban. Therefore, my perception of the area might differ slightly from the views of someone who was more accustomed to a rural environment. Thanks Post reply -->London Bow FB 22 Dec ^ BowI use Stroudley Walk Centre which is just off bow road (or devons road if you're down that way) and are fab, they're open late on mon & tues, and also saturday mornings. I've got a long term condition and have never seen a doctor there - sounds terrible, but its a testiment to how great even the nurse practitioners are! The building is a bit dingy but the care is excellent. Bow looks like a convenient and interesting place to live but I would really like to get some feedback from some locals. My husband is a builder and roofer and I am a librarian and we will be looking for employment while we are there. We are moving with our 14 year old son so we want a safe neighborhood that maybe has a decent school nearby. Any information about living in Bow would be greatly appreciated. Mail-me . Ideally would like to be located for an easy commute to the wharf and easy to get to the West End. I'm looking at East London area, Bow, Bethnal Green etc. but wondered if anyone could advise on any newish developements with great views of the city/canary wharf that are coming up or already around. I figured if i'm making the move to London I would really love to get somewhere (1 bed) that has amazing views of the city. Thanks in advance for any advice offered! Mail-me Post reply -->London Bow Bells 21 Mar ^ Bow Bow Quarter!Bow DentistThank God my Partner and I have found an excellent Dentist in our locality. We tried a couple of Dentists near us and they were run-down and the dentists were disinterested so much so we did not go back. Then a friend recommended Marian Lewis's practice in Roman Road. What a diference! Very clean, professional but friendly and the Dentist we saw had been there 10 years and so had most of the staff. It really made a difference. Post reply -->London Bow Sue 4 Mar ^ Bow MC LewisI have been to the practice on roman road several times. Both the dentist (Mark) and the hygienist are very professional. I have had a lot of dental treatment and i find them to be the best in terms of quality. The price is not the cheapest but i think it's worth paying for quality when it comes to your mouth.
