It's good to know that our park gets recognition for it's contribution to family life in Bellingham. Not only is it a beautiful park to look at and chill out in but, it has wonderful play and rhyming sessions for the "Under 5's." The basketball and football court is shared by people of all ages and has a very inclusive feel about it. It's nice to see children, teens and adults playing together! WELL DONE!!! Please, do not be fooled! I can understand why many people that reside here want to put others off from moving here. They fear that any change may affect the sense of community that is strongly felt here. That (I believe) is the underlying reason why there are some negative postings on this site. Anyway, come and chill out here and see for yourselves!!! At last, there is an area i London where people of all ages feel a great sense of belonging and acceptance. It is quite and has a slightly suburban feel to it, we have had no problem with the area. The people are freindly where we live and all amenities such as railway stations and shops etc are on hand. Take no notice of the idiot who says that all of the people carry knives Post reply -->London Bellingham 14 Sep ^ Bellingham Catford/Bellingham: not goodTo be honest Catford town centre is pretty horrendous, with the single exception of Sapporo - a good Japanese restaurant. Bellingham is even worse. Was built for post-war slum evacuees. However if you can find a spacious, nice house with a garden for a good price, transport links are OK so you can always socialise in Central London. Might be worth it. I can hardly see these kids being bullies and if they are - have you seen the news lately? Kids are being accused of being bullies everywhere.
