Post or Ask something here in 'Barnes' ^ BarnesSorry, It is now the end of the season pretty much but there are a number of teams that play on a sunday at Barnes Elms, by the Wetland Centre. Games start at about 10.30 - 11.00, just trek on down and people always need extra people, especially if you are a keeper! Post reply -->London Barnes John ^ Barnes FootballJust moved to the area, would love to start playing for a team this season. Any web-sites or places i can go to find info on teams & training? Post reply -->London Barnes Jamie Ward 25 Aug ^ Barnes polytechnic fcPolytechnic fc runs ten teams including vets football on a saturday. If you want everything, walk over Barnes Bridge to Esporta. Just had a re fit. ^ Barnes Private GymTry the Barnes Health Club & Gym on the corner of White Hart Lane & Mortlake High Street (yellow & white striped awning). Lovely private gym with all the machines etc. (Small, so no pool) 0208 392 9240. They also do beauty stuff (eg manicures, massage, tanning etc) Post reply -->London Barnes Nicky ^ Barnes It gets far worse from Barnes inwardsTolerable trains unless you travel absolute peak times.
PM return is even worse.
Off peak into town is really easy! Post reply -->London Barnes tube train transport ^ BarnesThey're great - you can always get a seat, apart from return from waterloo at rush hour - but then once you get past Clapham Junction it's usually fine. Post reply -->London Barnes 25 Aug ^ Barnes Barnes BridgeIn the mornings, at present, the 0701 and 0731 are 8-car trains, but the 0716 is a 4-car and is standing room only by the time it gets to Branes Bridge But it is nothing like the problems you get in Barnes. Can't comment more than that. Post reply -->London Barnes Tim 1 Sep ^ Barnes GP in BarnesI thoroughly recommend the Essex House surgery in Station Road. It's the usual nonsense trying to get past the Receptionist but the Quacks are good Post reply -->London Barnes GP nhs ^ Barnes GP in BarnesI go to the surgery at 1 Glebe Road off Church Street. 0208 748 7398. Lovely doctors etc. Post reply -->London Barnes Nicky ^ Barnes I left this Surgery becauseI found them very unfriendly, especially to foreigners and they do not have a clue about a lot of things - very out of touch with things.... Mail-me Post reply -->London Barnes Amy 23 Sep ^ Barnes Country in TownI have spent the last 11 years in and around London: Kingston: Big, moody nightlife, good shops Richmond: Posh, except on a Fri/Sat night when the chavs abound Kew: No nightlife, but leafy and pretty Barnes: Quiet, countrified and pretty, with great pubs and restaruants. I've just bought in Barnes and it is soooo expensive, but a safe bet. My other half can go running safely, little crime and nice shops. Only downside (if you consider it so) is that it could be viewed as a little blinkered - little cultural diversity - everyone seems to be wealthy and middle-class. Suits me though - I love it. If you need liveliness, Richmond and Putney are a 10-minute taxi away. Post reply -->London Barnes Tim 1 Sep |
