Barbican SEEKING HALL FOR HIREWe are a film society in search of a hall for hire. Our evenings are not open to the public, they are members only. We screen documentaries. We are a friendly, civilised gathering. We seek somewhere cheap as we do not have much cash. Our previous space is being turned into a restaurant. We like to use old spaces akin to school assembly halls, boy scout huts or church halls. We need a simple space for an occasional Saturday night within travel zones 1 & 2, fairly near a tube station. We do not want a fancy interior, all we need is: a bare room with clear walls (no fixed pictures etc) 40 chairs 4 tables electricity power points preferably an un-carpeted floor water supply to fill our tea urn Any suggestions most welcome. Post reply -->London Barbican 24 Jan Should we remove this post ? ^ Barbican looking to rent a flat- REPLYIt really does depend on how much you are willing to spend on rent. There are some nice flats on Lever street, they are I think £115-130p/w per person. If you are willing to spend more then there are some nice flats near old street. They are called Gunnersbury Studios. The rent there for a two bedroom flat plus lounge/kitchen is £390p/w. If you are looking to pay less then you may have to look at places on an ex/concil estsate. Barnabas House has flats which are 3 bedroom flats plus lounge and seperate kitchen for £320p/w Post reply -->London Barbican 11 Nov Should we remove this post ?
