Parents Looking for a single parent to share a flat/house

Hello, I am a single mother-to-be, my baby is due in the end of August. Currently I am looking for a new accommodation (1-2 bedroom flat/house - preferably in the north of London, but can be anywhere). Maybe we can look for a flat/house together and choose one that will suit both of us?
I am 34 y.o., professional journalist. I am a calm person, hard-working, responsible, tidy.

Best regards,
Lena

Parents parents Babysitting club north east london

Hi. I've got two children and was thinking of starting a parents group for meet ups, playdates, adult conversation, babysitting, just a general good support network with parents in similar situations needing a sympathetic attitude. Wanstead, Woodford, South woodford, Leytonstone, Manor park sort of areas which are all pretty easy to drive to and quick for those that don't drive.

If your interested mail me on :  Mail-me

Parents Grand Designs Live

Kevin McCloud is presenting Grand Designs Live, an ambitious week-long television event for Channel 4 which will be broadcasting daily from London's Docklands. It is going to be a fast-paced and engaging week of television which has never been attempted before!

One of the fun and exciting challenges is going to be testing the positive benefits of soundproofing. We need 3 mothers and their babies to be our sound testing devices – Is your baby a light sleeper? Do they wake up when the dog starts barking or as soon as your noisy neighbour starts doing DIY? If so…

Then we need you!

If you are interested and are available for a few hours of filming on Saturday 26th April 2008 in the East London area please contact:

Parents Working Parents social group

Hello, I'm a working parent. I work full time, I'm studying for my professional qualifications and I am attempting to have a decent social life.

I've looked for a parents group that isn't during the week since my daughter was born (she's now 3 1/2), but never found one, so I've decided I should create one.

I live in South East London, within easy reach of or in, Brockley, New Cross, Greenwich, Deptford, Forest Hill and Honor Oak. There are a fair few cafes, parks and museums around that could accomodate a few parents getting together, so I just want to gather up some interest first before setting a location.

I'm not sure that age, gender or status matters, but I'm a 26 year old female, with a partner.

If you're interested  Mail-me  and I'll get organising!

Parents Clubs for Kids : As a parent what would be the best kids club for your children?

After school arts, activity and drama clubs: What type of club would your kids like to join?
What activities and events would children between the ages of 1-11 like?

What type of club would they like to join? Drama, arts etc?

How much do you think is a reasonable price to pay for such a club for perhaps 2 hrs at the weekend or in the evening.

As a parent what would you like to see in a childrens club and what would you be looking for in deciding if your child(ren) will attend?

In a nutshell describe your perfect kids club.

Thanks,
F.

I will also be interested in getting a Spanish club starting around South Woodford area. I already know a few ladies and their kids, our meetings are reduced to our local park (weather allowing).
I have a 3 1/2 years old boy and a 4 months old baby girl. It will be lovely for our children to be exposed to other people that speak in Spanish.

Thanks

Parents Single Parent Emergency

Due to reasons beyond his control, my friend that I was supposed to be moving in with has had to let me down.

I am just about to move from Ireland to London, to start a fantastic new job and had planned my childcare for the Camberwell area.

Are there any other single parents out there looking for someone to share with!

Any other help or suggestions welcome. Thanks  Mail-me

Parents single parent flatshare

I am about to rent out two rooms in the flat in which I live (I am not the landlord). There is a large room at 450 and a small room at 320. Ideally I would like a single parent (male or female) to move in. I have a 7-year- old daughter who comes to stay with me regularly; I don't live near her school, so she has no playmates nearto me. I have found some flatmates in the past not to be particularly child-friendly. The rooms are available from 14th December. The flat is on a quiet residential street in Muswell Hill, just around the corner from one of the best primary schools in London. The flat has wooden floors, broadband, a furnished lounge and a large garden. Rent is not inclusive of council tax and bills. If interested give me a call on 07983 506 153; email  Mail-me .

Parents Flatshare

Hi I live in East London so not familiar with the area but it sounds ideal. The only problem I am finding is that many landlords won't accept DSS. Unfortunately this is the position I' find myself in although I understand from Citzen's advice that there should be no problem at all revceiving benefit. I have a daughter of 13 months so this arrangement sounds really nice. She is really quiet btw. I know I would say that! I'm being honest. Anyway perhaps you would consider it? Thanks Julia  Mail-me
