New Friends 40 up Plenty free time, who wants to spend it with me?I've spent the past 4 years working full time while studying full time. Not surprisingly, I've barely had a minute to myself and my friends and social life seem to have gone by the wayside while I was under a pile of books :( I've now given up work to focus on the last year of my degree which makes life much less stressful but lonely. I often go weeks without seeing anyone except the people in my lectures. I'm easy going, have a good sense of humour, like all the usual girlie things- shopping, a good gossip over a bottle of wine, cup of coffee, and like nothing more than to lie on a beach and do nothing. I work in the city and have made a few friends in the office but, unfortunately, most of them live outside of London. Since moving here, my only social life has been when I visit friends who live elsewhere (in order to keep from going crazy).
