 | Holidays Holidays social group 20s - 30sHi All, Are you in the same situation as me? Friends are coupling up, too broke, etc. to go on holiday and you are left at a bit of a loose end? I would be interested in starting up a holiday group. My suggestion is that we meet up a few times in a pub, have some drinkies and discuss where we fancy travelling, and then eventually book something towards the end of the year. Despite the fact that it is sinking, the city had an exciting ambience which added to the historical feel. I recommend you research the city through the travelogues before you go as they will give an idea of idea of what to see just in case you miss something. I recall enjoying lovely Italian food in the Ristorante Columbo. I can't remember how to get there as I was guided to it, but the food was terrific and in a lovely setting. I also recommend you carry your camera and take as many photographs as you can because they will remind you of many happy memories later in life. I have photographs of Piazza San Marco which I took in 1971 and others taking in 2003 so it was great spotting the differances. So have fun and I hope you find a travelling companion of your own age.
